Foreground service permissions


Foreground service purpose

This foreground service is used only when the user starts an active casting, screen mirroring, or TV remote connection session. It helps keep the connection stable while the user is casting media, mirroring the screen, or controlling a connected TV device. A persistent notification is shown so the user knows the session is active and can stop it anytime.

User impact if deferred

If the foreground service is delayed, the casting, screen mirroring, or remote-control connection may not start immediately or may take longer to connect to the TV.

User impact if interrupted

If the foreground service is interrupted, the casting, screen mirroring, or TV remote session may disconnect, stop responding, or require the user to open the app and reconnect again. No personal data is lost.

When the user turns on the battery icon feature, the app keeps the cute battery/status bar decoration visible on top of other apps.
