Android may require location permission to scan for nearby WiFi networks.

If WiFiScope requests location permission, it is used primarily to enable WiFi scanning and related network functionality required by Android.

We do not use this permission to continuously track your physical location.

The availability and requirements of WiFi scanning permissions may vary depending on your Android or Huawei device and operating system version.

3. Camera Permission

The App may request access to your camera when you use the WiFi QR code scanner.

Camera access is used only to scan supported QR codes. WiFiScope does not intentionally record or store photographs or videos when using the QR scanning feature.

4. WiFi Passwords and Credentials

WiFiScope may provide tools for:

• Generating strong WiFi passwords.

• Displaying WiFi credentials that are legitimately available to the user on supported devices.

• Creating or scanning WiFi QR codes.

• Sharing WiFi connection information.

WiFi passwords or credentials processed locally by these features are not intentionally uploaded to our servers.

Operating-system security restrictions may prevent the App from displaying saved WiFi passwords on certain Android or Huawei devices.

5. Connected Device Information

The App may scan your local network to identify devices connected to the same WiFi network.

Information displayed may include:

• IP address.

• Device or host name when available.

• MAC address when available and permitted.

This information is primarily processed locally to provide network monitoring features.

6. Internet Speed Tests

When you use an internet speed test, the App may communicate with external servers to measure:

Those external services may automatically receive technical information such as your IP address as part of normal internet communication.
